Spring is here!

The sun is out, flowers are at its best colors, birds chirping, the breeze are not to be feared anymore and people are not into hybernation mode at all. I must say this is the most perfect climate ever. The nasty winter season was a pain in the ass. It was my first winter and it's not even snowing. But the snow storm in China made me learn a lot of stuff about winter and here are the basic things to remember:

1. Never neglect putting on moisturizer (of course still with SPF), lip balm and lotion before leaving your house. Better yet, use butter. (Body shop's Cranberry butter is the best for me.) This is my first time to finish one. Hahaha!!!! My hands were like an old woman's during the last season. LITERALLY!!!!! The thing is, my pain threshold was very strong that I don't notice my skin cracking anymore. One distinct sign to watch out for that you may have dermatitis (skin inflammation in simple language) because of the cold weather, is ITCHINESS. As for moisturizers, I don't know among you but Nivea did instant wonders to my face. For lip balm, since I put make up a lot because of shows, I chose to use plain Petroleum Jelly. I am also a huge victim of wind burns. It sucked really.

2. Invest on good bonnets/berets, jackets/sweaters, scarves/mufflers, trench coats, warmers, gloves, and boots. Choose jackets and trench coats that are double sided. This is to give you enough warmth when you have to deal with long walks and when you're standing by at MTR stations. You just can't help but look for a confined place when Winter season is here because it's just soooooo damn cold. Mong Kok offers good deals with what's needed at a certain season. On boots, it's very important for you to choose the most comfortable and neutral one. I loved Hong Kong's style with Flat boots. They can make it sophisticated and comfortable at the same time. Choose neutral colored boots that can be matched with most of your wardrobes because believe me, you don't want to wear just sneakers when it's winter. Scarves and mufflers offer an "umph" with dull sweaters and long sleeves. Gloves are not really that necessary but if your hands are very sensitive (like mine), then it becomes a must. Lastly, warmers help you to avoid tendonitis and arthritis. Mind you, weather is a big factor in developing these especially when you resort to drinking beer or eating a lot to compensate the coldness and boredom since you least likely would want to go out because like how I emphasized earlier, it's just soooooo damn cold! It just reaches from 8 to 12 degrees Celsius. Here are some of the samples of these garments.

3. It wouldn't hurt if you'll stock your fridge with liquor. This really helps to warm you a little bit. On weekends, a shot of bailey's or cranberry lychee won't hurt as you go on with that movie you've been dying to watch again. Or so what if it's a rerun on a Saturday night? I don't mind seeing Brad Pitt's sexy butt again in Troy! Hahaha!!!!

4. Heaters can really make the bills hike up but you have to maximize its use. Like air conditioning units, set your alarm clocks by the time you want to turn it off. It does provide comfort but it may drain you out. Don't forget to nourish your need for water before and after using it. It also helped me in drying some of my clothes at the most wet days Winter season has. Because you see, even if you keep your clothes hanged for 3 days, it will still feel wet. You can't just put them in a dryer because it's mostly made up of wool. And you know what happens when wool is dried up.... well, it gets very short.

5. You have to be aware of what hybernating can do to your body. Due to the cold weather, you would least likely be outside. And you would hate going out. This is a natural reaction of the body. It retains as much fat as you could, for heat production. Which ends up you, getting fat. So much so, there's no excuse for you to just munch on chocolates all the time. You have to find activities that will make you stay inside the house but would still keep your heart beating fast. Before you think of anything else, here are some suggestions of the "activities" I'm telling you about. POKER, NINTENDO WII or PS2, stretching on your own, and blogging.

6. Be careful in dealing with your hair. Too much static (because of the heat you produce vs. the cold weather) may damage your hair. You will also find yourself adjusting the shower a notch warmer (which may lead you to baldness), usually, these kind of changes stress your scalp a lot and may produce undesired outcomes. Also, in blowdrying it and in using the straightening iron.
7. Remember to drink your vitamins daily. This boosts your body to its max. You see, I learned that no matter how you cover up, your lungs would just slowly get weak because of the cold air that holds lots of viruses. Cold weather is very conducive for airborne viruses to stay alive at. So, it's important to keep your immune system intact. Flu shots are worth having during Winter.

Well, there you go folks! These are all based on my experience. It's just little information that you may find useful someday.

when you ran out of words to say, hand this in....

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dreams
for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life's betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.

I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your
fingers and toes
without cautioning us tobe careful
be realistic to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand on the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
"Yes."

It doesn't interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after a night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the center of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.

Shen Zhen, China

My vacation from work (February 23-29) was given justice because of this escape to Shen Zhen. Hogan and I just came up with the idea out of the blue. Nothing tops shopping so to speak in putting up your self-esteem. From Tin Shui Wai, it took us around 20 minutes to go there. By bus, then train. Walah! The border welcomed us. Got our visas in a matter of minutes then we're off. We've got a lot of stuff for a cheap price, that's what's important. But quality's good. Even if products from China are now considered controversial, we ignored the whole crap and just indulged with different offers. The very lesson that we learned today, is to go around and really go for the lowest bid. I speak of Hogan's experience. Don't just let go of your money right then and there folks. It helps when you would let them know of your price. If they don't agree, go out and let them run after you. Shen Zhen is the place where Mongkok merchants get their stuff. So, imagine how low prices could go. So, if you have plans of going there, be wise! Don't leave the place as well without getting a load of the foot spa (package: Manicure + Pedicure + Foot Massage) for just HK$55!!!!

Kung Hei Fat Choi!!!

Make way for Disney's treat this Chinese New Year!!!!

The dragon procession, to hail the year of the mouse, runs from the Main Street down to the Opera House. This is a very fun procession since it's not confined with the usual idea wherein it's just the dragon who dances. Fishes which are symbols of good luck and prosperity to Chinese people graced the procession as well. The atmosphere that Hong Kong Disneyland prepared for this season wouldn't be complete if not for the Chinese New Year Stage Show. A good friend of mine, Nathalie, who is bound for U.S. now is part of the stage show team. I will surely miss her as she goes on for a tie-up company with Disney that will go on a tour around Southeast Asia.

Another cool recreation HK Disney had come up with this Chinese New Year is the presentation of how Mickey Mouse's house looks like. There are also fashion shows that proudly presented Vivianne Tam's creation. Of course, the designs are still inspired by the Fab 5's (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto) usual colors.

valentine's 2008

This was my very first time to spend Valentine's in a different way.
Usually, couples would escape from the real world and would want to create their own on this special day. But Hogan and I celebrated it with a bunch of friends and it turned out that it was a good idea. The night was filled with mostly, single people or people whose loved ones are across the miles from them. So, we swept the night away with fun games and nice chit chats.
Greatness!!!!

film reel video

This is a dream role come true.

ocean park after 14 years!!!!!

The last time I saw Ocean Park was when I had the bob hair cut and I was just Grade....Grade.... uhrrr.... I'm not quite sure anymore. You see how long it has been? My gosh... All I remember is that I was still in my primary years. And it was a tour with my elementary teachers.

That was my first time to experience tours. But I didn't really appreciate it because all I did was to drown myself with my gameboy. Funny... So, now, my 2nd Ocean Park trip was given justice. I was with friends and it was all good.

my favorite 2007 pictures (Part 1)

Best Picture for January:
LIFE

One thing remarkable in a man's life is his birth.
One of my students are currently on his 4th year as a Nursing student.
You see how delicate the baby is? It's just so dependent.
And I wanted to feature this so that all of you out there would have an idea how we,
nurses take care of newly born babies. And not just because it's our job.
But we are passionate on how to preserve a life of a human being.
Regardless of the oath that we took when we graduated,
it's just our passion to love, to nurture and to provide care to those who need it.
The message behind this?
Don't take the people around you for granted.
You just don't know how much love others are willing to give to
to what you can give.

Best Picture for February:
"WAITING TO EXHALE"

I got this picture from my good friend Ria. It was taken by her friend who's stating with a photoshoot business. I would like to feature this photo mainly because of a couple of reasons. First, I like how candid it is. I just love how it shows the bonding moment of the girls. The black and white effects adds drama to it that it somehow tells the spectators that no matter where you go, friendship remains forever. And there's always space for a thought that you can go back to being a kid again with its main subject: ICE CREAM!!!!!

Secondly, I'd like to share to you a wonderful memory of mine. The name of the ice cream cart is STO. TOMAS. It stands for UNIVERSITY OF SANTO TOMAS where I spent nearly 14 years of my life studying. Yep! Since primary years. And I don't know how I'd thank my teachers for helping my parents in molding into what I am right now. I just can't help but reminisce the good times.

Best Picture for the month of March:

"Modern Pieta"

Pieta is a sculpture of the dying Jesus, lying on Mother Virgin's lap when he was held down to her from the cross. It's a commemoration of the undying love the Mama Mary has for her child no matter how hurtful her son's decisions were. I chose this picture because in it, a new beginning has been depicted. Instead of showing the love of the Virgin right at the moment when Jesus was dying, the husband (Mael) of a good friend of mine, Ate Fe, shows their daughter his love at the beginning of life. Quite an amazing shot. It's just a picture which is so lovely to stare at. It deserves to be one of my best pictures!

Best Picture for the month of April:

"SHOE FREAK"

It's just so amazing to realize that our parents are right when they say, "Wait for your turn my child, there's always time for everything." Hahaha! What they say are true ladies and gentlemen. It's such a wonderful feeling reaching the age of independence. Independence on what you want to do with your money in particular. And, I would like to feature Bambi's collection of shoes. This girl I've known for quite a long time had been a hard-working lass. And I'm so proud of her that she is now one of the popularly known group called "MOCHA".

Talk about hotness, right Bambs?

Seriously, I am proud of her that she knows how to keep herself on track. She knows how talented she is, she's having the ultimate time of her life and she knows what she wants.

Girl power! Rock on!

my favorite 2007 pictures

Best Picture for the month of April (tie up with Bambi):
"BEST FRIENDS"

This one, I captured while I was roaming around Central, Hong Kong.
I saw this old couple on a tour figuring out where to go but they end up
going wherever their feet will take them.
It's quite touching knowing that they have a comfortable feeling with each other.
Despite the fact that they are in a different place, they don't get fearful.
As long as they have somebody, it's all good.

Best Picture for the month of MAY:
"Melancholic"

For the 2nd time, Mr. Patrick Mabanta graced me with his talent in getting this picture.

Last year was same close up shot but he made it all better.

Thanks Pat! You're the best!

Best Picture for the month of JUNE:
"Water fun!"

Summer of 2007 for me became memorable because of the Mickey Waterworks Parade of Disney. And this is my favorite picture amongst all.

This is Amon and I just love how he portrays a kid whose having a lot of fun with water.

I like how limitless his moves are.

Knowing that kids are icons of innocence, they are expected to be careless beings when they try to have fun. I observed a lot of kids getting hurt because they play without thinking of the consequences that each action may bring. But a great thought lies beneath.
Whatever the kids get themselves into, they act according to what makes them happy.

These all drains down to one realization. I am not young anymore to just consider happiness. Others' happiness and sakes too are to be considered.

Dang!

Best Picture for the month of JULY:
"Coordination"

In the name of the fastest growing trend in dance, POLE DANCING is topping the charts.

Yes, coordination is very much the name of the game. It's not the pole that's serving you but you working with the pole to come up with a good presentation. A lot of muscles are required. And you have to keep it coordinated with each other if you don't want to get yourself hurt during the act. Or better yet, you don't want to look like a stupid person.

This is a toss between letting go of yourself, who you are and how you make your audience aware of the dainty from it.

ARTS + ATTITUDE + PASSION

Best Picture for the month of AUGUST:
"SHISHA"

This is one thing I wanted to try before I should've left for Hong Kong. The way how this shot was taken, I find it so fun. Hahaha!!!! Being crazy every once in a while reminds me of a cliche that goes, "Work hard, to live it large!"

Best picture for the month of SEPTEMBER:
"FLY HIGH"

I know, I know, pictures like this don't go absent for my favorites.

This is a good friend of mine, Ela. I see her as a very gifted lass. This girl can fly. Do I need to say more? And the trait that gets her on high like this? Humility.

Best Picture for the month of OCTOBER:

"What is your profession?"

This was taken on their way to the Halloween party at Makumba Bar, Hong Kong.

The color, the facial reactions, the way how the picture was stretched out.

Ain't that a magnificent shot?

Best Picture for NOVEMBER:
"Play."

Sigmund Freud had a theory about play being the most effective way of relating or communicating to children. Now that I am away from my family, I totally developed the sense of being serious all the time that it was as early as high school that I suppressed the feeling or the need (for that matter) to play. I've always focused myself in working all the way from high school up to now that thinking about it really gets me so tired.

For scholarships, I worked out a lot to keep up with the Volleyball team, the dance troupe until I became who I am right now. If you'd look superficially, Volleyball is a game where you get to play a lot. But that's not it. We play because we have to win. It's not just having fun, but working for the scholarship.... for something to have in return.

I just love seeing the children who are capable of maximizing their youth.

Lucky them!

Best Picture for DECEMBER:
"MY LIFE"

I've experienced a lot of changes in my life this year. And I'm so glad to have this wonderful man to share it with. From my work, point of view, past times and how to handle emotions...

Thank you for teaching me a lot of things to make my life better.

new year events....

This was taken January 1, 2008. I was so sick so Hogan decided to cook on the 1st day of year 2008. We wanted to witness all the fireworks Hong Kong could offer but we both had to take some rest since he had 3 shows for December 31 and he had to recover from cough and flu too. On the other hand, I had to work on Christmas eve til 10pm. Since then, I've been experiencing the nastiest running nose ever. I guess it's because of the cold weather getting into us. Good thing I took that flu shot freely given by Disney. Otherwise, it might give me a week to recover. But now, I'm all good and I aim not to call sick the whole year of 2008. God be with me on that.

One memorable gathering we've been into was attending the Bible Study Christmas Gathering. It was fun singing for the Lord's glory. And it's fun to learn more about the talented people that compose the United Colors. Nicole and Kuya Roy's song, "The Prayer" moved us all, German's "Yes Lord!" moves was cool too. And of course, I won't forget how Ate Jing proved how powerful her voice is. The band was amazing as well.

The group was called United Colors because the people that go to the Bible Study are of different races. White, Yellow, Brown and Black Race..... Whew! It would really touch you seeing all these people come together to praise God. It's nice to see all my fellow Bible Study pips' families attending the said gathering and singing along with the Christian songs.

Rush's Birthday served as the afterparty of the biggest bonding moment Hogan and I had (Disney's Christmas Cabaret '07). He had the finest surprise this year too. And that's his girlfriend Jasmine coming over for the holidays.

The night was ended with pool games, card games and magic by One.
This was the night I became the pool player of the year by winning over Hogan 4-1. Hahaha!!!! And stil reigning....thank you very much!!! Hahahaha!

The start of 2008 was banged by Stage Manager Winnie's wedding with Hugo. It was my first time to attend an authentic Chinese wedding. And along with that experience is a 9-course dinner.

I liked the crab soup, crab appetizers and this special abalone and scallop dishes. Too bad Hogan can't enjoy these stuff since he was allergic to them. He truly missed KFC that night. But we can't afford to get sick again so might as well let the expensive stuff pass than end up paying for the hospital bills. Hahaha!!!!

Edric's Birthday, Kuya Joy's Birthday Party, Noelle's Birthday and Josh and Catv's Thanksgiving Party were top events that happened in Pa Mei... Edric's party was packed while Josh and Catv's Thanksgiving party had good food. Noelle's was a moment for real friends, and Kuya Joy's Party was star-studded.

Again, I want to acknowledge God's blessings to each and every person who gets to celebrate this way. For me, all of these are thanksgiving parties. Eventhough apartments in Pa Mei are not that big, and always end up getting packed during parties.... it's a good reminder that you have a lot of friends. And that no matter which country you're in, Filipinos still gather up as one.

Congratulations to Josh getting the Lion King job. I am so proud of you. And to Catv, you deserve to be one of the cast of Golden Mickey's because of your hard work. To all the FELD people: Ariel, Ate Naths, Earl, Kuya Bitoy, Franny and the rest, congratulations! To Hogan and the rest of the fire knife dancers, take the new contract with pride. To the people in the theater who renewed their contracts with Disney this January 2008, I'm so glad you still chose to work with the rest of Disney's cast members for another 6 months. Yehey!

2008:
A year of letting go of the past that you're so used to,
a year of facing my fears,
a year of embracing challenges,
a year to let the people know that I could do better,
another year to grow up, physically and emotionally,
a year of knowing what else you can do with what God had given you,
a year of welcoming new friends,
a year for God,
a year of love.....

After a month of rehearsals, we finally did it. It was all good.

December awaits...

Officially, CHRISTMAS SEASON is here. And I feel blessed as I get to observe how Christmas is celebrated here in Hong Kong. With the current work environment I have, I can't help but appreciate how the park was decorated. There are even special 3d glasses for the guests to observe the hidden magic within the decorations. The fireworks is never the same if you watch it while putting them on.

Here in Hong Kong Disneyland, a lot of treats are presented to the guests. Disney Princesses are put up in front of the shimmering castle with a frosted icy effect. The parade (I've got to be proud of that...) is spectacular as well. It contains snowflake icons, elves and characters in Christmas costumes. And as you walk down the Main Street, there'd be snow falling on your face. An illusion sometimes helps in creating magic. Santa's Workshop, a great for taking pictures was put up as well. It's nice to share this with picture addict friends.

Though I miss collecting stamps from Starbucks for that corporate looking 2008 planner back in the Philippines, I still wouldn't want to miss Christmas here for the world. Being with my family soon is always given a thought. Now that a new world has opened in front of me... I embrace the coldness of the season with a warm heart. As I turn 25, I see the world with a new beginning. I am dangerously in love, I am high with my work and most of all..... I am happy.

Happy Holidays everybody!

"Eleven Minutes" by Paulo Coehlo

From Maria's diary, one night when she lacked the courage to go out, to live or to continue waiting for the phone call that never came:

I spent today outside a funfair. Since I can't afford to fritter my money away, I thought it best just to watch other people. I stood for a long time by the roller coaster, and I noticed that most people get on it in search of excitement, but that once it starts, they are terrified and want the cars to stop.

What do they expect? Having chosen adventure, shouldn't they be prepared to go the whole way? Or do they think that the intelligent thing to do would be to avoid the ups and downs and spend all their time on a carousel, going round and round on the spot?

At the moment, I'm far too lonely to think about love, but I have to believe that it will happen, that I will find a job and I am here because I chose this fate. The roller coaster is my life, life is a fast, dizzying game, life is a parachute jump; it's taking chances falling over and getting up again; it's mountaineering; it's wanting to get to the very top of yourself and to feel angry and dissatisfied when you don't manage it.

It isn't easy being far from my family and from the language in which I can express all my feelings and emotions, but, from now on, whenever I feel depressed, I will remember that funfair. If I had fallen asleep and suddenly woken up on a roller coaster, what would I feel?
Well, I would feel trapped and sick terrified of every bend, wanting to get off. However, if I believe that the track is my destiny and that God is in charge of the machine, then the nightmare becomes something thrilling. It becomes exactly what it is, a roller coaster, a safe, reliable toy, which will evntually stop, but, while the journey lasts, I must look at the surrounding landscape and whoop with excitement.

post birthday bash with satur

I won't forget this year. For I've gotten the best surprise in my entire life. Something that came from the heart. Thanks Kuya Joseph, Kuya Nap, Marvin, Kuya Chito and Hogan. I liked the costume too.

happy thanksgiving!

There are absolutely a lot of things to be thankful for this year.
First and foremost, we thank God for our Disney contracts.
We always find ourselves tired at the end of the day but we never
fail to constantly remember that we are able to survive life.
We would always embrace our ability to entertain people with our talents.
None of these would be possible if not for the almighty one.
Thanks for that...

True friends have sprouted along the way too. And I hope they know how thankful I am when they brighten up my day or when they give effort when they take the loneliness away. Being away from what's familiar to you is a risk. And it's amazing to feel that somebody treats you as their own brothers and sisters. I hope it would always stay the same way. But for all we know, we are in the world where nothing seems to be permanent. So, everyday is a new chance to show each other how much you take care of them.

This year, Josh helped me in getting my new laptop. I'm addicted with my SONY VAIO PCG-6S7P. Talking about being techie alright. What I like about it? It's handy, light, I chose the one with a big memory and graphics are by NVIDIA. Meaning? Good for games. Woohoow! Too bad though my CANON IXUS 950 got lost but I got a new camera from Hogan for my birthday. He comes up with the most breathtaking surprises. He got me a SONY one too. SONY Cybershot DSC-T200. It is the most compatible with my laptop. I hate to brag about it. Some of you may think it's just a material thing but it helps me get hold of the memories.... That's what I'm most thankful of.

And last but not the least....

I thank God mostly for making me understand the concept of time.

All of us are bound to an end. It comes in so many ways.... it may be thru finishing college where you find yourself waving goodbye to good friends, ending up a contract and finding yourself thinking of what's next, breaking up with somebody and choose not to remember at all or even death when everything is put to a halt. One thing I've proven true... you have to make the most of your time. Help people see the beauty of life. Don't get tired of doing so. Because thru it, you'll see yourself transforming into a better human being. Make the most out of what you have. Satisfaction is hard to find within us. But one way or another, if you'd pray hard for it... you'll realize everything is right in front of you and all you have to do is to embrace it. Take in everything you can and give everything you've got... At least, BE REMEMBERED!

latest st. augustine tvc

This was the latest St. Augustine tvc. I didn't get to see this anymore though back in the Philippines. It's nice to reminisce the moments with the people you get to work with. So to you guys out there, it's a must for you to give everything you've got in everything you do. Because you'll never know when the next chance is. Before you know it, the moment may just pass you by. Time is a cheater. I know you'll all agree. So, make the most of your time.

big buddha

Big Buddha is a site located in Tung Chung, just 2 buses away from home. It's a cool way of getting out of the house in the cheapest way we know. We counted the stairs towards the big statue....and it's more or less, 250 stairs all in all. They were so strict in making sure that the sacredness of the place will be maintained. They did not allow certain places to be available for picture taking. The entance fee of less than HK$30 comes with snacks. Enough for Filipinos' appetite. Because, their snack is composed of 1/2 plate of sauteed noodles, 2 choices of rice cakes and a drink. Enough for me to consider it a complete meal. Hahahahaha!!!

It's good too if you'd go there hiking. Not take the bus I mean. Some of the Disney cast members do that for exquisite feel of the place. That's because trekking the mountains towards Big Buddha gives you a different feel. Maybe next time I could go there by trekking.

Riding the ferry to Central was a great experience as well. From Central, we rode the MTR Red line to Tsim Sha Tsui to see the Avenue of the Stars and Symphony of Lights. I really didn't enjoy taking some pictures because the place lacked lights. Maybe if I get to visit it the next time, I would take a lot. The evening ended up with a good dinner at UCC.

just a lonely thought of a lonely girl

In the world in which time is a circle, every hand shake, every kiss, every birth, every word, will be repeated precisely. So too every moment that two friends stop becoming friends, every time that a family is broken because of money, every vicious remark in an argument between spouses, every opportunity denied because of a superior's jealousy, every promise not kept.

And just as all things will be repeated in the future, all things now happening happened a million times before. Some few people in every town, in their dreams, are vaguely aware that all has occurred in the past. These are the people with unhappy lives, and they sense that their misjudgements and wrong deeds and bad luck have all taken place in the previous loop of time. In the dead of night, these cursed citizens wrestle with their bedsheets, unable to rest, stricken with the knowledge that they can not change a single action, a single gesture. Their mistakes will be repeated precisely in this life as in the life before. And it is these double unfortunates who give the only sign that time is a circle. For in each town, late at night, the vacant streets and balconies fill up with their moans.
