December awaits...

Officially, CHRISTMAS SEASON is here. And I feel blessed as I get to observe how Christmas is celebrated here in Hong Kong. With the current work environment I have, I can't help but appreciate how the park was decorated. There are even special 3d glasses for the guests to observe the hidden magic within the decorations. The fireworks is never the same if you watch it while putting them on.

Here in Hong Kong Disneyland, a lot of treats are presented to the guests. Disney Princesses are put up in front of the shimmering castle with a frosted icy effect. The parade (I've got to be proud of that...) is spectacular as well. It contains snowflake icons, elves and characters in Christmas costumes. And as you walk down the Main Street, there'd be snow falling on your face. An illusion sometimes helps in creating magic. Santa's Workshop, a great for taking pictures was put up as well. It's nice to share this with picture addict friends.

Though I miss collecting stamps from Starbucks for that corporate looking 2008 planner back in the Philippines, I still wouldn't want to miss Christmas here for the world. Being with my family soon is always given a thought. Now that a new world has opened in front of me... I embrace the coldness of the season with a warm heart. As I turn 25, I see the world with a new beginning. I am dangerously in love, I am high with my work and most of all..... I am happy.

Happy Holidays everybody!

"Eleven Minutes" by Paulo Coehlo

From Maria's diary, one night when she lacked the courage to go out, to live or to continue waiting for the phone call that never came:

I spent today outside a funfair. Since I can't afford to fritter my money away, I thought it best just to watch other people. I stood for a long time by the roller coaster, and I noticed that most people get on it in search of excitement, but that once it starts, they are terrified and want the cars to stop.

What do they expect? Having chosen adventure, shouldn't they be prepared to go the whole way? Or do they think that the intelligent thing to do would be to avoid the ups and downs and spend all their time on a carousel, going round and round on the spot?

At the moment, I'm far too lonely to think about love, but I have to believe that it will happen, that I will find a job and I am here because I chose this fate. The roller coaster is my life, life is a fast, dizzying game, life is a parachute jump; it's taking chances falling over and getting up again; it's mountaineering; it's wanting to get to the very top of yourself and to feel angry and dissatisfied when you don't manage it.

It isn't easy being far from my family and from the language in which I can express all my feelings and emotions, but, from now on, whenever I feel depressed, I will remember that funfair. If I had fallen asleep and suddenly woken up on a roller coaster, what would I feel?
Well, I would feel trapped and sick terrified of every bend, wanting to get off. However, if I believe that the track is my destiny and that God is in charge of the machine, then the nightmare becomes something thrilling. It becomes exactly what it is, a roller coaster, a safe, reliable toy, which will evntually stop, but, while the journey lasts, I must look at the surrounding landscape and whoop with excitement.

happy thanksgiving!

There are absolutely a lot of things to be thankful for this year.
First and foremost, we thank God for our Disney contracts.
We always find ourselves tired at the end of the day but we never
fail to constantly remember that we are able to survive life.
We would always embrace our ability to entertain people with our talents.
None of these would be possible if not for the almighty one.
Thanks for that...

True friends have sprouted along the way too. And I hope they know how thankful I am when they brighten up my day or when they give effort when they take the loneliness away. Being away from what's familiar to you is a risk. And it's amazing to feel that somebody treats you as their own brothers and sisters. I hope it would always stay the same way. But for all we know, we are in the world where nothing seems to be permanent. So, everyday is a new chance to show each other how much you take care of them.

This year, Josh helped me in getting my new laptop. I'm addicted with my SONY VAIO PCG-6S7P. Talking about being techie alright. What I like about it? It's handy, light, I chose the one with a big memory and graphics are by NVIDIA. Meaning? Good for games. Woohoow! Too bad though my CANON IXUS 950 got lost but I got a new camera from Hogan for my birthday. He comes up with the most breathtaking surprises. He got me a SONY one too. SONY Cybershot DSC-T200. It is the most compatible with my laptop. I hate to brag about it. Some of you may think it's just a material thing but it helps me get hold of the memories.... That's what I'm most thankful of.

And last but not the least....

I thank God mostly for making me understand the concept of time.

All of us are bound to an end. It comes in so many ways.... it may be thru finishing college where you find yourself waving goodbye to good friends, ending up a contract and finding yourself thinking of what's next, breaking up with somebody and choose not to remember at all or even death when everything is put to a halt. One thing I've proven true... you have to make the most of your time. Help people see the beauty of life. Don't get tired of doing so. Because thru it, you'll see yourself transforming into a better human being. Make the most out of what you have. Satisfaction is hard to find within us. But one way or another, if you'd pray hard for it... you'll realize everything is right in front of you and all you have to do is to embrace it. Take in everything you can and give everything you've got... At least, BE REMEMBERED!

latest st. augustine tvc

This was the latest St. Augustine tvc. I didn't get to see this anymore though back in the Philippines. It's nice to reminisce the moments with the people you get to work with. So to you guys out there, it's a must for you to give everything you've got in everything you do. Because you'll never know when the next chance is. Before you know it, the moment may just pass you by. Time is a cheater. I know you'll all agree. So, make the most of your time.

big buddha

Big Buddha is a site located in Tung Chung, just 2 buses away from home. It's a cool way of getting out of the house in the cheapest way we know. We counted the stairs towards the big statue....and it's more or less, 250 stairs all in all. They were so strict in making sure that the sacredness of the place will be maintained. They did not allow certain places to be available for picture taking. The entance fee of less than HK$30 comes with snacks. Enough for Filipinos' appetite. Because, their snack is composed of 1/2 plate of sauteed noodles, 2 choices of rice cakes and a drink. Enough for me to consider it a complete meal. Hahahahaha!!!

It's good too if you'd go there hiking. Not take the bus I mean. Some of the Disney cast members do that for exquisite feel of the place. That's because trekking the mountains towards Big Buddha gives you a different feel. Maybe next time I could go there by trekking.

Riding the ferry to Central was a great experience as well. From Central, we rode the MTR Red line to Tsim Sha Tsui to see the Avenue of the Stars and Symphony of Lights. I really didn't enjoy taking some pictures because the place lacked lights. Maybe if I get to visit it the next time, I would take a lot. The evening ended up with a good dinner at UCC.

just a lonely thought of a lonely girl

In the world in which time is a circle, every hand shake, every kiss, every birth, every word, will be repeated precisely. So too every moment that two friends stop becoming friends, every time that a family is broken because of money, every vicious remark in an argument between spouses, every opportunity denied because of a superior's jealousy, every promise not kept.

And just as all things will be repeated in the future, all things now happening happened a million times before. Some few people in every town, in their dreams, are vaguely aware that all has occurred in the past. These are the people with unhappy lives, and they sense that their misjudgements and wrong deeds and bad luck have all taken place in the previous loop of time. In the dead of night, these cursed citizens wrestle with their bedsheets, unable to rest, stricken with the knowledge that they can not change a single action, a single gesture. Their mistakes will be repeated precisely in this life as in the life before. And it is these double unfortunates who give the only sign that time is a circle. For in each town, late at night, the vacant streets and balconies fill up with their moans.

my 1sts.........

Sept. 24, 2007 - Halloween parade launching

It's my 1st time to be a part of the opening team, and boy! Am I so glad!Being an artist allows you to release stress by being able to portray a lot of personas. Being a villain was the least on my list but the experience was really spectacular. A lot of attitude is needed, and I get more tired being tensed and mad. Not really because of the choreography. Not to mention.... the black lights effect is really amazing!

Come and see it fellows!

After the wonderful and
breath taking opening,
we went to Discovery Bay,
also known as D-Bay,
to have a dinner celebration.
It was my 1st time
to try it out and I decided,
once a month of laying back is not bad.

Worth it for the money!

What: Film Viewing ("The Diary of A Mad Black Woman")
for the Bible Study
When: September 18 and 25, 2007
Where: Ella's house, Pa Mei Village, Tung Chung
Topic: Forgiveness

It was my 1st time to suggest an idea for the Bible Study and I'm so glad that all of us got to embrace the idea of forgivness. They loved the writer of the movie. How each character was used for the glory of God!

Yey! Praise God!

Work has been really hard for this past month because of the late night halloween rehearsals and continuous demands from co-workers and bosses. Nevertheless, I got these notes to keep me going... again, my 1st time to get appreciated personally.

"Great Job" Card - September 19, 2007

Dear Kyte,

Congratulations for your constant great performance as a greeter! I see a lot of positive feedbacks our our daily lead reports.

Stan

"I'm a fan of this cast member...." Card

Ashton - I really loved being able to dance with her. She was so graceful as a butterfly and so fun to be with in the parade. I am looking forward to working with her once again!

Thanks girl!!!! Work becomes light because of people like you!

what made my week

Kuya Nick's bday in Caribbean, Tung CHung rocked!
We all had a blast.

You wouldn't have a dull moment with this guy. He has such a happy aura. No wonder, even if at the age of 40, (and he's proud of it!) he could still make you look twice his direction.

Good times!!!!

Nina's bday...KTV night!

After playing volleyball at Seaview Crescent, we headed right away to Caribbean Coast.

Even if Nina was so sick to have this party, she still managed to have fun. Of course! Who w
ould resist Catv's singing prowess!!!! Hahahaha! That was so fun!

Volleyball games at Seaview Crescent This is our way to exhale here in Hong Kong during the weekends.
Why did this make my week? I was able to block Hogan!!!!

Yehey!!!! He's a huge Hawaiian spiker. He's really a warrior during the games but when he
asked me to block him, I was able to give it wholeheartedly. Ahahahahaha!!!! Yeah!!!!

Butterfly and Rainbow
I w
as able to get a feel of being one of the butterfly dancers and rainbow gals during the Mickey's Waterworks Parade. It was indeed a boost to my self esteem.

moments

Too bad, I won't be able to celebrate my birthday with Jing and the rest of the November girls.

Jing!

Come back again soon, ok? Use that free ticket from Cebu Pacific so that you could see Lan Kwai Fong.

I remember our Jordan nights when you slept over! Ahahaha! Kulang na lang, ktv!

Chloe!!!!

It's nice that I've finally met you!!!!

You're such a bubbly, sweet, Barbie girl! Thanks for having us for dinner! I hope you liked the show the gays have prepared for you!

Getting punk with Milai, German and the Mikasa Volleyball!

Hahaha!!!!

Filipinos here in Disney tease me that I play like a guy. I guess, they're right!!!! Can I be a Hawaiian player? Nahhhh!!!! They play bare footed! I can't play like that!

Everytime I get some guests in the park during my day off, it would mean a morning stroll around Disney. And I tell you, it is one of the finests!!!! I'm glad I passed by Fantasy Garden!

Say hello to the baby Christians of the United Colors!!!!!

Little do we consider ourselves, so limited, so human....but if we pray together, we know that God would listen in our hearts....
